Welcome

That word “welcome” cannot be used enough and at The Conningbrook Hotel we endeavour to give all our guests a warm welcome. Our singular goal is to make your visit as comfortable as we can. Our welcome is from all the faces you will see assisting you throughout your journey, including my own, to those you do not see.

There are several pointers in this directory but please contact any one of us for anything else or further assistance.

Our Kent Recommendations

Coastal Attractions: Enjoy the breathtaking White Cliffs of Dover, the picturesque seaside town of Deal, and the charming coastal village of St Margaret’s at Cliffe. Hythe and lively Folkestone are nearby.

Gardens and Nature Reserves: Wander through the beautiful gardens of Sissinghurst, the enchanting Port Lympne Reserve, and the serene Knole Park.

High speed internet access is available in all bedrooms and public areas within the hotel. There is both wired and wireless connections available at no extra charge.

Accounts
Your invoice is readily available upon request at Reception. The following methods of payment are accepted: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept contactless payment and Apple Pay. We do not accept cash in our hotel, but guests are more than welcome to use cash in our main bar and restaurant.

Assistance
Reception is staffed between the hours of 7am – 10pm Monday – Wednesday and 24 hours Thursday – Sunday.

Out of hours please contact our main phone line and select option 5.

Bars
The main Bar and Restaurant are located on the ground floor.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the main Restaurant area from 7:30am to 9:30am Monday to Friday and 8am to 10am on Saturday and Sunday.

Car Parking
We have a very large free customer carpark.

Checkout
Checkout time is 11am.

Religious Services
Please contact Reception who will advise you on services and locations for religious worship.

Currency Conversion
The nearest bureau de change is at the Tesco Extra at Junction 10, approximately a 5 minute drive.

Dietary Requirements
If you have any special requirements, please contact the Manager on duty who will be happy to assist.

Dining (Lunch and Dinner)
We serve lunch from 12pm – 3pm & 5:30pm – 8:30pm Monday to Friday. 12pm – 8:30pm Saturday. 12pm – 8pm Sunday.

Directions
We can assist with google maps for anyone needing directions.

Disabled Facilities
The hotel has no, purpose-designed, room for disabled guests.  We do have 6 ground floor rooms all with showers. Please note that there are 2-3 small steps in and out of reception. The entrance also has a step, but a deployable ramp is provided for those in need of it.

Doctor, Dentist and Chemist
Should you require medical assistance, please inform Reception or call the local Doctors’ Surgery Helpline on 0300 421 8770. The nearest A&E is The William Harvey Hospital just over 2 miles away. The nearest chemists, Courts Pharmacy can be found 2 miles down the road and there is a Dentist, Chopra & Associates 2 minutes away. For more information speak to Reception.

Emergency Services
Dial ‘999’ for the police, fire brigade or an ambulance. Please also call Reception to report the incident and for further assistance.

Fire Procedures
It is imperative that guests read the Fire Notice on the back of the bedroom door and familiarise themselves with the fire evacuation procedure and fire exits

Heating and Cooling
The heating in the room may be adjusted using the thermostat on the top the radiator during the winter months. Fans are provided in the rooms.

Maintenance
Should you find anything not in working order, please report it to Reception and we will endeavour to repair it as quickly as possible.

No Smoking
Please be aware that the whole hotel, including all bedrooms, is non-smoking. Our outside space has designated areas for smoking. If guests are found to have smoked inside bedrooms, a minimum charge of £120.00 will be made to cover further cleaning and freshening of the room. Each room is fitted with a smoke detector which is very sensitive and will evacuate the whole hotel if triggered. Activation will incur further charges to the guest’s account.

Pets
Dogs are allowed in selected bedrooms and bar area by prior arrangement. Unfortunately, for the comfort of other guests, dogs (except guide dogs) are not allowed in the Main Restaurant. –         

Security
Please ensure that your bedroom windows and doors are closed when you leave the room. We would like to draw your attention to the Hotel Proprietors Act displayed in the reception area and regret to inform you that the hotel cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to any guest’s property not handed in for safekeeping.
